Rochdale FC offers the cheapest match day experience in League One, a new survey has revealed.

According to BBC Sport’s ‘Price of Football’ survey £16.20 can buy a ticket to watch the team in action, a programme, a cup of tea and a pie.

A ticket can be bought for £10, a programme for £3, a pie for £2.20 and a cup of tea for just £1.

The sum is just 10p cheaper than buying the same items at Rotherham, the next cheapest club amongst the other clubs in the top four divisions.

"I'm shocked, that's great news," Rochdale spokesperson Pete Woodhouse told the BBC.
