Rochdale boss Steve Eyre has appointed Frankie Bunn as his assistant.
Bunn, 48, spent his playing days tormenting defenders before being forced out of the game on a professional basis due to injury.
After a couple of years playing in non league he took to coaching.
His coaching career began in Wigan, he then joined Manchester City in 1998.
In 2007 he was appointed first-team coach at Coventry City by Ian Dowie.
Bunn joined Newcastle United’s Coaching set up earlier this year before linking up with Eyre.
