Hundreds of Rochdale AFC fans attended the Dale Supporters Trust End of Season Awards Evening which saw skipper Gary Jones scoop Player of the Season, Supporters’ Player of the Season and Goal of the Season, with his finish away to Southampton in September.
Other awards included Most Improved Player going to Marcus Holness and Dale Dragons Young Player of the Season going to Joe Thompson.
Craig Dawson also won a special award for his superb performance this season, and to celebrate his time at Rochdale before returning to West Bromwich Albion.
Trust Chairman David Gartside said: “It was very good. It was packed. There were about 500 people there at the Dale Bar.
“Rochdale has around 2500 to 3000 supporters, and an attendance about 500 there means it was pretty important.”
The evening was attended by many of the first team players, as well as manager Keith Hill and assistant manager David Flitcroft.
Mr Gartside said: “The feedback has been very positive.
“We have got a close relationship between the club and supporters and the players.”
