Rochdale moved within two points of a play-off place after they beat managerless Notts County.
Dale were two up within quarter of an hour; Craig Dawson with the first from a Nicky Adams corner, Will Atkinson nodded in from close range to double the lead.
Lee Hughes did pull one back for County when he struck from three yards, but Dale held on for the win.
