Rochdale Mayfield under 14s overcame Wigan St Patricks at the weekend in their last league game of the season.

The visitors won 18-8 to send the host team down a division, but they didn't go without a fight.

The game was a very closely contested encounter, Mayfield changed their starting line up from recent weeks to develop players in other positions and those players stood up to the challenge.

In winning Mayfield secured fourth spot in the North West Counties premiership division, a remarkable achievement that was made possible by winning their last five games in a row.

This achievement is a reward for their commitment/dedication to the sport and match day performances.

The season’s proceedings will conclude with a Dads v Lads at Mayfield Saturday 9 April 12.00pm start.

Presentation night for players and families will be Saturday 30 April 6.30pm start.
