Rochdale Premier Cricket League – week 18 round up

8 Stars won against Unique this week and move to the first position again in the league. Good wins for Speed Stars and Rochdale Lions. RYCC players failed to turn up and gave away 2 points to Rochdalians.

First match of the day was between Paradise Stars and Speed Stars. Paradise Stars batted first and made 135 runs in their 8 overs. Good batting from Shahid (Jimmy) 30 runs (not out), Chand 30 runs and Aqeel 28 runs. In response Speed Stars won the match by 5 wickets and 2 balls remaining. An excellent batting from Saif 35 runs (not out), and Rauf 29 runs.

Second match was won by 8 Stars against Unique. Unique batted first and made 94 runs in their 8 overs. Excellent batting from Sohail 32 runs (not out) and Iqbal 20 runs. In response 8 Stars won the match by 8 wickets and 2.4 overs to spare. Excellent batting by Kaiser 31 runs (not out), Iffy 22 runs (not out) and Abdul 20 runs (not out).

Next match was between RYCC and Rochdalians. RYCC players failed to turn up and gave away 2 easy point to Rochdalians.

Last match of the day was between Rochdale Lions and Thornham CC. Rochdale Lions batted first and made 137 runs in their 8 overs. Excellent batting from Dastghir 32 runs (not out) and Rashid 27 runs. In response Thornham CC made 114 runs and lost the match by 23 runs.
