Rochdale Premier Cricket League – week 14 round up

Paradise Stars lost their first match of the second round against 8 Stars. Unique kept their winning momentum going in the second round. Good wins for RYCC, Rochdalians, Bury Panthers, and 8 Lions.

The first match of the day was between Paradise Stars and 8 Stars. 8 Stars batted first and made 122 runs in their 8 overs. Excellent batting from Waleed 28 runs, Tariq 20 runs and Irfan 16 runs. In response Paradise Stars made 70 runs all out.and lost the match by 52 runs. Excellent bowling from Tariq taking 2 wickets for 11 runs, Mateen 2 wickets for 8 runs and Faisal 2 wickets for 10 runs.

The second match was won by Bury Panthers against Max 11 by 20 runs. Bury Panthers batted first and scored 138 runs in their 8 overs. In response Max 11 made 118 runs and lost the match by 20 runs.

The next match was between 8 Lions and Punjab. Punjab batted first and made 77 runs. In response Max 11 won the match by 4 wickets and 2.3 overs to spare. Excellent batting from Hafeez 31 runs (not out).

The next match was between Rochdale Lions and Rochdalains. Rochdale Lions batted first and scored 112 runs. Excellent response from Rochdalians and won the match by 6 wickets and 1 over remaining. Good bating from Imran 32 runs (not out) and Asif 25 runs.

Another win for Unique against Thornham CC. Batting first Unique made 120 runs in 8 overs. Good batting from Mo 35 runs (not out) and Noman 33 runs (not out). In response Thornham CC made 103 runs and lost the match by 17 runs.

The last match of the day was between RYCC and Speed Stars. RYCC batted first and made 149 runs in their 8 overs. Excellent batting from Guffran 31 runs (not out) and Iftikhar 18 runs. Despite excellent batting from Khan 32 runs (not out) and Wasim 31 runs (not out) unable to save the match and lost by 21 runs.
