Rochdale Premier Cricket League – week 13 round up

This week saw the end of first round of the Rochdale Premier Cricket League.

After the first round Unique and Paradise Stars are on the top with 24 points, 8 Stars in second position with 21 point, Rochdalians in third position with 20 points and Rochdale Lions & Speed Stars are joint in fourtj position with 19 points.

The first match of the day was between Bury Panthers and 8 Stars. 8 Stars batted first and made 119 runs in their 8 overs. Excellent batting from Bukahri 32 runs (not out), Tariq 31 runs (not out) and Irfan 10 runs. In response Bury Panthers made 107 runs and lost the match by 12 runs.

The second match was won by Paradise Stars against Lahore Rangers by 7 runs. Paradise Stars batted first and scored 96 runs in their 8 overs. In response Lahore Rangers made 89 runs and lost the match by 7 runs.

The next match was between Speed Stars and Max 11. Speed Stars batted first and made 141 runs. Again excellent batting from Zahid 30 runs (not out), Sultan 29 runs and Yasir 24 runs. In response Max 11 was bowled out for 115 runs and lost the match by 26 runs. Good batting from Sakib and made 46 runs.

The next match was between Rochdalains and Punjab. Rochdalains batted first and scored 153 runs Excellent batting from Hameed 33 runs (not out), Faisal 20 runs and Asif 17 runs. Despite good batting from Basit 34 runs and Bilal 14 runs unable to save the match and lost the match by 76 runs. Excellent bowling from Haji Zafar taking 3 wickets for 8 runs won the match for Rochdalains.

Another win for Rochdale Lions against Thornham CC. Batting first Rochdale Lions made 129 runs in 8 overs. Good batting from Rashid 31 runs (not out), Abdur Rahman 31 runs (not out) and Tayyab 23 runs (not out). Despite good batting from Danny 30 runs (not out), and James 18 runs, Thornham CC lost the match by 29 runs.
