A window of Colchester United’s team bus was smashed at Spotland stadium on Saturday (21 August 2010) and thieves stole two mobile phones.
A police spokesperson confirmed that a passenger window had been smashed by an unknown offender and a couple of mobiles were stolen.
The incident was reported to the police at 4.45pm on Saturday.
A spokesperson for Rochdale AFC said: “We are very disappointed that this has happened. We are sure it wasn’t any Rochdale supporters but at a time when we are trying to encourage more supporters to come along this does not help.”
A spokesperson for Colchester United was unavailable for comment at the time of publication.
