Clubs chasing Rochdale wonder boy Craig Dawson have been told the central defender will be for sale in the summer – at £1million.

Burnley boss Brian Laws and Middlesbrough scout Gordon McQueen were among those checking on the 19-year-old against Darlington on Tuesday.

Dawson has been a star of Rochdale’s promotion campaign. But Dale manager Keith Hill said: “We will have to sell again this summer – I won’t stand in Craig Dawson’s way as long as we get the money we expect for him.”
