Hornets Co-operative Day
The recent Hornets Co-operative Day proved to be a big success for the club. The pre game Co-operative seminar being well received by several high ranking Co-op officials who commented on the commitment and passion for the Hornets cause.
To get the Co-operative involved at Hornets was a major coup for the club and credit should go to Allen Brett for his hard work in securing the Co-operatives support and substantial backing of the event.
Hornets Under 17`s
Congratulations go out to our Under 17`s team who finished a very creditable second in their division in what was their debut season.
We are sure all Hornets fans would like to pass on their congratulations to the players, coaches and support staff for a fantastic season and hope for even better things in the next campaign.

Tickets/vouchers for the Carnegie Cup Final 2010 are now on sale from Hornets Rugby League. We have tickets priced at £26.00 and £41.00

Wheatsheaf Centre Fashion Show
The excellent relationship continues to bear fruit with the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre Rochdale hosting a fashion show this Saturday. It is hoped a couple of the Hornets players will be there to model the range of Hornets replica kit and merchandise!
The show runs over three time slots, they are at 11:30am, 1pm and 2:30pm
It would be great if Hornets fans could get down and support this event and the lads taking part.
Fixture Amendment
The upcoming away fixture against Swinton has been brought forward a day due to the unavailability of the Swinton pitch.
The game is now to be played on Saturday 8 May 2010 KO 3.00pm.
The Spotland Whistlers
The recent "Spotland Whistlers" course for budding junior Rugby League referees run by Hornets and Link4life proved to be a big hit. A dozen childen came along and took their first steps to becoming fully fledged Rugby League Referees.
As is often stated, without referees we have no game, and its good to see this important area of the game is not being ignored.
There is a second chance to attend and places are still available on the Young Match Officials Course that is being run on Wednesday 14 April at Spotland, Rochdale.
The course is a practical/theory session where everyone gets the chance to play Rugby League as well as learning the basics of Rugby League refereeing.
All participants will receive a certificate qualifying them as a Junior Match Official-qualifying them to referee junior rugby league fixtures and schools festivals.
The course is available to anyone aged 12 upwards at a discounted price of £5 per person. To attend contact the club or Ryan.Bradley@rfl.uk.com
Our next Home Fixture
Hornets next home fixture is on Bank Holiday MONDAY 3 of May, with a 3pm kick off against The Gateshead Thunder.
As well as a cracking Co-operative Championship 1 clash we will also be hosting the return of Rochdale`s Fastest Rugby Player.
