Hornets v Oldham at Sedgley Park

Date published: 08 February 2010

Homeless Oldham have been given permission by the Rugby Football League to use Sedgley Park RU Club for their Northern Rail Cup match against Rochdale Hornets after being refused permission to postpone their opening home game and forced to ditch plans to stage it at Mayfield Sports Centre in Castleton because of safety issues.

The match will be played on tonight because Championship One rivals Swinton played on the ground on yesterday.

Oldham's ground-sharing agreement with Oldham Athletic to use Boundary Park expired at the end of last season and they have yet to secure a new home in the borough.
