Jon Shaw has left Rochdale and is close to joining Mansfield Town.
Striker Jon Shaw has departed Rochdale after a mutual agreement was made between the club and the 26-year-old.
The former Halifax man failed to settle into League football and made just 13 appearances since signing for Rochdale in the summer of 2008, scoring one goal.
Shaw has made just two substitute appearances for Rochdale this season and has since been loaned out to non-league clubs Barrow and Gateshead.
He is now free to sign for another club and has been strongly linked with a move to Mansfield Town.
