Craig Dawson rises to head Rochdale in front at Lincoln on Saturday.

Rochdale defender Craig Dawson has been named in the League Two team of the week.

The young centre half scored a bullet header to give Dale the lead at Lincoln on Saturday, helping his side to extend their lead at the top of the table.

Dawson has been an ever-present in the Dale starting line-up this season and his performances in what is his first season in league football have earned him rave reviews.

His goal at Sincil Bank was his sixth of the season, while his commanding displays at the back have been a major factor in seeing his side concede just three goals in their last five matches.
