In the fourth week of the Rochdale Premier Cricket League Stoney Stars inflicted a first Defeat on RYCC.

RYCC won the toss and put Stoney Stars in to bat. Stoney Stars started disastrously, losing two wickets in the first two overs, with Shakeel 1 – 11, Quyyom 1 - 11 and Naeem 1 – 13 containing Stoney Stars batsman early on. Stoney Stars managed to score 118 runs thanks to good batting displays from Sajid (28 runs), Shakir (13 runs) and Sajad (16 runs).

RYCC fancied their chances to win the game but lost wickets at regular intervals. Good bowling from Shakir 4-16, Saif 1–5 and Rauf 1-22 reduced RYCC to 96 runs. Some late hitting from Siddique (18 runs), Qaiser (9 runs) and Naeem (15 runs) could not see them home. Shakir from Stoney Stars was declared Man of the Match for his 13 runs with the bat and 4 wickets for 16 runs with the ball.

In the league’s other matches, Rochdalians registered their second win of the competition against Lahore greens. Lahore Greens batted first and made 109 runs thanks to excellent batting from Naveed (31 runs not out), Tariq (30 runs not out) and Zafar (14 runs not out).

In response Rochdalians won the match with five balls to spare, with excellent batting by Khan (28 runs), Malik (31 runs not out) and Hameed (19 runs). Malik was Man of the Match.

Young Muslims registered their first win of the league against Suli XI.

Young Muslims won the toss and invited Suli XI to bat. Suli XI managed to score 109 runs in their allocated overs with excellent bowling from the two Rashids, taking 2 wickets for 8 runs and 2 wickets for 19 runs respectively. There were good batting displays from Akeel, scoring 31 runs (not out), and Jameel scoring 22 runs (not out).

In response Young Muslims finished the match in four overs. Excellent batting from Rashid, scoring 33 runs (not out), and Azher, scoring 28 runs (not out). It was an excellent win by Young Muslims. Rashid was declared man of the match for his 33 runs and 2 wickets.

The third game of the day was between Max XI and All Star. Batting first Max XI made 76 runs with contributions from Rashid (30 runs not out) and Shoaib (11 runs not out). Batting second All Stars could only score 74 runs all out. Rashid was declared man of the match.

The final game of the day was between local rivals Baba XI and Unique. It was a very closely contested match won by Baba XI by 21 runs. Batting first Baba XI scored 149 runs, with excellent batting from Tayyab (30 runs not out) and Shahid (33). Unique could only score 128 runs. Good batting from Afridi (20 runs), Gufran (31 runs not out) and Noman (25 runs not out) could not quite bring Unique up to their target. Shahid was man of the match, scoring 33 runs and taking one wicket.

Players and fans thanked organisers Abdul Quyyom, Mohammed Siddique and Qunain Shah for organising such a competitive and an excellent cricket league, while thanks were again given to all the volunteers for helping with umpiring and scoring duties and the league sponsors Claim 4 U, World Wide Cash & Carry, and Naz Kebab House for their support.
