Dale seek three in a row

Date published: 30 November 2009

Rochdale go in search of a third consecutive victory when they visit Bradford City tomorrow evening (kick off 7.45pm).

Keith Hill's men recovered from defeat at home to Chesterfield two weeks ago by beating then league leaders Dagenham and big spenders Notts County.

The trip to former Premier League outfit Bradford continues a tough run of fixtures and a victory at Valley Parade would see Dale bolster their place in the automatic promotion places and potentially go top of the league depending on Bournemouth's result at Barnet.

Hill welcomes back Tom Kennedy from a one game suspension, with Scott Wiseman likely to revert to right-back and Matt Flynn drop to the bench to accommodate the player voted the best left-back in League Two last season.

Other than that Dale are likely to remain unchanged from the side that came from behind against Notts County last Tuesday. Striker Danny Glover has come into the squad on loan from Port Vale but it is unlikely that he will disrupt the prolific Chris Dagnall and Chris O'Grady partnership up front and will probably make his Dale debut from the substitutes bench.

Kallum Higginbotham and Ciaran Toner are pushing for starts after coming on as substitutes in the last two games but Hill will most likely keep loan men Will Atkinson and Jason Taylor on the right wing and in central midfield respectively.

Since Bradford dropped into League Two, Rochdale have one win and one defeat to show from their trips to Valley Parade. They have already faced the Bantams once this season, when the Yorkshire outfit came from behind at Spotland in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy to record a 2-1 win. Their start to the season has been indifferent but a win tomorrow night could boost them into the play-off spots depending on results elsewhere.

Bradford ended a five game winless streak with a convincing 3-0 win at Grimsby at the weekend with former Dale defender Simon Ramsden, now popular among the Bradford faithful, helping his side to keep a clean sheet. He will be hoping to continue his good form against his former team mates.

Rochdale will be confident of extending their winning run having not lost on their travels since a 1-0 defeat at Burton in earlier October.
