Dale sign Vale's Glover

Rochdale manager Keith Hill has once again delved into the loan market by signing Port Vale forward Danny Glover for a month.

Glover will replace strikers Scott Spencer and Marcus Manga on the Dale bench after the duo were released from Spotland earlier this week.

The forward, son of former Port Vale manager Dean Glover, scored against Dale on Boxing Day last season but was subsequently sent off for receiving two yellow cards, one of which was shown for over-celebrating his goal after he revealed a t-shirt that wished his Dad a happy birthday.

Glover will go into the Dale squad for their game at Bradford on Tuesday. They are without a fixture this weekend after being knocked out of the FA Cup in the first round.

Meanwhile out of favour players Jon Shaw and Clarke Keltie have joined Blue Square Premier outfit Gateshead on loan after returning from spells at Barrow and Chester respectively. They will play for the North East club until 3 January.
