Whaley joins for another month

Winger Simon Whaley has extended his loan spell with Rochdale.

The Norwich City player will spend another month at Spotland after joining the club in September.

The 24-year old winger has appeared in all of Dale's games since he joined them, making a total of five appearances and scoring in the 4-1 home win over Hereford.

The news gives the club a timely boost ahead of tomorrow's visit to League Two strugglers Grimsby Town, where Dale will be hoping to build on last week's win over Barnet and continue their challenge towards the top of the table.
