Midfielder Dale Stephens has extended his loan spell at Rochdale by a third and final month.
The 21-year old Oldham man has been allowed to remain at Spotland by Latics boss John Sheridan, with Oldham able to recall him at 24 hours notice should they require his services.
Stephens has so far only made two substitute appearances during his time at Spotland, memorably scoring the equaliser at Morecambe as Rochdale came from three goals behind, but he is the only recognisable midfield player at the club behind regular duo Jason Kennedy and Gary Jones.
Rochdale are currently in discussions with Oldham about the availability of both Stephens and fellow loanee Chris O'Grady for the first round of the FA Cup on 7 November.
