Dale search for three in a row

Date published: 25 September 2009

Following one or two concerns off the pitch, Rochdale will be looking to continue their excellent form on it when they entertain Hereford tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 26 September, kick off 3pm).

The football club insists that it is 'business as usual' at Spotland following news that the club had been issued with a winding up order by HMRC. A club statement said that issues between the club and HMRC have now been ironed out.

Meanwhile Dale boss Keith Hill is fully focussed on extending Dale's unbeaten league run to five games after ridiculing rumours linking him with the vacant manager's position at Rotherham.

With those issues seemingly behind them, and no fresh injuries for the manager to worry about, Dale are free to continue their rise up the League Two table against strugglers Hereford.

Hill has hinted that his side have got to turn their dominance into more goals, and kill teams off sooner, and he will be hoping he doesn't have to repeat that mantra after tomorrow's game against a Bulls side that picked up a first victory of the season last weekend.

The boss will choose his team from the same squad that picked up a first away win of the season at Northampton last Saturday. Hill is likely to continue with the same starting line-up that has won Dale's last two games, although Norwich winger Simon Whaley will be pushing hard for a full debut after coming on as a second half substitute last weekend.

Rory McArdle's return from a pre-season dislocated shoulder injury was brought up a notch this week when he featured for the reserves on Wednesday night but tomorrow's game will come too soon for the young defender.
