Mayberry makes dream team

Date published: 11 September 2009

Hornets centre Casey Mayberry has been named in the Co-operative Championship 1 Dream Team for this season.

He spent the last month of the campaign sidelined with a broken arm, but his form before that was one of few highlights for Hornets in what has been a difficult season.

Mayberry was the only Hornets player to feature in the side. Champions Dewsbury Rams had six players chosen winger Bryn Powell, centre Kane Epati, stand-off Pat Walker, scrum half Liam Finn, second row Andy Bostock and loose forward Adam Hayes.

The rest of the team was made up of York City Knight's prop Mark Applegarth, Blackpool full back Jonny Leather, Hunslet hooker Richard Chapman and Oldham second row Chris Baines.
