Jones and O'Grady back in Dale squad

Date published: 03 September 2009

Rochdale will be boosted by the return of Gary Jones and Chris O'Grady for tomorrow night's visit to Morecambe (Friday 4 September, 7.45pm).

Jones, Dale's oldest player, was rested for the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Bradford, with Dale playing three games in the space of six days.

O'Grady, meanwhile, was not permitted to play by his parent club Oldham, but is ready to lead the line tomorrow night and resume a strike partnership with Chris Dagnall that flourished in the 3-0 win over Bury last weekend.

Hill is set to field the same starting line-up that blitzed their local rivals, so David Flitcroft and Adam Rundle will have to make way from the side that took to the field against Bradford.

Morecambe are still searching for their first win of the season, with three draws and two defeats in the League, and early exits in both cup competitions, to their name so far. In their two seasons in the Football League they are yet to beat Dale, with three 1-1 draws and a 1-0 defeat in four games so far.

The Shrimpers are expected to hand a home debut to Paul Mullin, the one time Dale transfer target, who they signed from Accrington in midweek.
