Town surrender two goal lead

Date published: 24 August 2009

Rochdale Town picked up a second point of the season but it should have been all three as they surrendered a two goal advantage at Daisy Hill.

Town led at half time thanks to a thirty yard piledriver from James Greenhalgh and doubled the scoreline on the hour when Kerim Alan lobbed the goalkeeper.

Alan's injury whilst scoring changed the face of the game. Town were forced into a reshuffle and from there Daisy Hill took control of the game.

Gregory pulled one back after a goalmouth scramble and with just three minutes left, and with Town down to ten men after suffering another injury and having used all three subs, Sisewell levelled as the Town defence waited for a linesman's flag that never came.

Town entertain Cheadle on Saturday 29 August, kick off 3pm.
