Stokes ready for new Town season

While Rochdale travel to Port Vale for their first game of the season tomorrow, a former player of both clubs will be taking charge of Rochdale Town for the first time.
Town host AFC Liverpool in their opening match of the season in the second division of the Vodkat North West Counties League tomorrow (Saturday 8 August).
New head coach Dean Stokes, who played professionally for Rochdale during the 1990s, has been putting the team through their paces over the last few weeks, while friendlies against Dukinfield Town, Brighouse Town and Colne FC provided useful runouts for an improved Town squad.
