Players on the treatment table ahead of Radcliffe trip

Date published: 14 July 2009

Three players have been on the treatment table ahead of Dale's first pre-season friendly at Radcliffe Borough tomorrow night (Wednesday 15 July, kick-off 7.30pm).

Jon Shaw, Nathan Stanton and Ciaran Toner all picked up minor injuries during the club's pre-season training camp in Spain and may not play a part in tomorrow's opener.

Shaw picked up a dead leg during Dale's behind closed doors friendly with Peterborough in Spain last Wednesday, while Stanton has an inflamed knee joint and Toner suffered a blow to his ear during a training session.

The match at Stainton Park provides the first chance for Dale fans to see the summer signings in action. Kenny Arthur and Jason Kennedy are both expected to play a part, while Dale may also field trialist Nathan Woolfe, who joined the players on the Spain trip.
All players in the squad are expected to be given time on the pitch as Dale ease themselves into their pre-season programme, with the intensity levels set to rise on Saturday when Everton visit Spotland.

Admission prices for the Radcliffe game are £7 for adults and £2 for 12-16 year olds. Anyone below 12 can get in for free.

The match has been arranged in respect of Dale signing young centre-half Craig Dawson from Radcliffe last season.

Dale are offering fans two for the price of three admission to their home friendlies against Everton, Manchester United and Blackpool. Prices for each friendly are £12 for adults and £6 for concessions but supporters have until 5pm on Friday (17 July) to purchase their three for two tickets.
