Fieldhouse march continues
Date published: 13 July 2009
Bamford Fieldhouse continued their march as champions-elect of the Armstrongs Office Furniture Saddleworth and District Cricket League.
Despite Warrick Flynn's maiden ton for Shaw, the South African’s knock of 125 — his previous best was 90 not out — was to no avail.
The pro’s excellent effort lifted his side to a highly-respectable 211 for nine, but 73 from young Lancashire all-rounder Stephen Parry and Qasar Riaz’s 49 not out sealed a five-wicket success for the champions-elect.
