Hornets romped to a convincing victory over Hunslet at Spotland.

A brace of tries for both Tommy Gallagher and Adam Thomas helped Hornets to what was only their third league win of the season, and lifted themselves off the bottom of the table in the process.

Hornets got off to a flying start and crossed the line twice in the first four minutes through Marlon Miller and Gallagher.

As the half drew to a close Gallagher crossed again and the home side took a 28-10 advantage into the half time break.

Hunslet improved in the second half but a brace for Tom Sheldrake proved to be nothing more than a consolation.
