Copperpot youngsters champions at Bowlee

Copperpot youngsters celebrate their win at Bowlee.

Copperpot emerged victorious at the recent Excel Sports tournament played at Bowlee.

The young players came through nine games in total without conceding a single goal to win the tournament.

The group stage consisted of seven teams and with four wins and two draws, Pot finished runners up in to go through to a tough quarter final tie against Milnrow and Newhey. It took a great finish from Josh Hall to seperate the teams.

The semi was a more open game and Copperpot stormed to a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Connor Ronan and Sam Astin.

The final was against the team who finished top of their group earlier in the day, Middleton Lads, but goals from Astin and Kane McCormack saw Copperpot emerge victorious.
