News continues to pour out of Spotland this afternoon as Rochdale announce that they have filled their goalkeeping vacancy and, as Simon Ramsden leaves the club, fellow right back Scott Wiseman returns just a few weeks after being told he was not needed by Keith Hill.
Kenny Arthur is the goalkeeper, signed from Accrington Stanley in a deal that will see him start his Dale career on 1 July, the same day that Wiseman will return.
The 29-year old stopper played 290 games for Partick Thistle before moving to Accrington in May 2007 and making 71 appearances for Stanley.
The return of Wiseman has been announced on the same day that an unnamed club, believed to be Bradford City, offered better terms to Simon Ramsden and the full back chose to leave Spotland.
Wiseman's original one year deal was not renewed this summer but Ramsden's departure has paved the way for his return. He made 36 appearances last season but missed the latter half of the season with an injury just as Ramsden returned to form and moved back above the 23-year old in the pecking order.
