Dale get behind fan in Iraq
Date published: 10 February 2009
Rochdale Football Club are giving their support to a fan serving in Iraq.
Jack Stanley is serving with 5th Battalion - The Rifles, who will be one of the last regiments to be withdrawn from the country, and moral in the unit is low after a close friend and colleague was killed in action recently.
His girlfriend Victoria Greenwood contacted the club to tell them that he is a big Rochdale fan, who attends as many games as possible when he is back home.
The club has wished Jack all the best and a healthy and speedy return from his duties in Iraq and staff are now working to send out some good luck messages from the Dale players and management team.
