Former Rochdale Hornets player Peter Clarke has died, aged 75
Former Hornets player Peter Clarke has sadly died at the age of 75.
Peter, who played for the Rochdale Hornets as a hooker during the 1970s, died on 23 February at home, and his survived by his wife Pat, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Peter was signed by Rochdale from Latchford Albion in Warrington in 1969, and also played for Blackpool Borough and Bramley. After retiring as a player, he coached teams in Warrington.
The Rochdale Hornets Ex-Players Association has said it was “very sad” to hear of the news and has sent condolences to Peter’s family.
A funeral service will take place at 10.20am on Thursday 11 March at Walton Lea Crematorium in Warrington.
