Rochdale Hornets Wheelchair Rugby League team began preparations this week for their first fixture of the year against Warrington Wolves on Saturday (7 March) at Bowlee.
The side will feature in the Wheechair Rugby League Championship 1 this season with sides including Bradford Bulls and Mersey Storm.
“We have a strong and stable squad of players but we are always looking for new players of any ability,” said head coach Niel Wood.
“Wheelchair Rugby League is totally inclusive. It is open to wheelchair users and non-users alike.
“It’s great fun and one of the most spectacular forms of the sport available.
“We are really proud of our Rochdale Hornets Wheelchair Rugby League club and we want to welcome more players and supporters - come along to a training session and join in.”
Training sessions are held every Monday at Rochdale Leisure Centre from 7pm and new players of all abilities will be welcomed.
