Members of Hollingworth Lake Sailing Club took part in the annual 24-hour Race at Southport on the Marine Lake on Sunday 14 September.
Adam McGovern and Chris Robinson sailed the whole 24 hours, finishing an amazing fifth e out of 73 boats whilst raising money for St Mary’s Hospital.
A general club team finished in 18th place with many changes of helm and crew during the weekend.
While it was generally a calm time, there was a period of strong gusts during the night which lead to a few capsizes for other teams.
