Norden Cricket Club
Norden’s weekend went from bad to worse when they lost at Walsden on Sunday 25 August after being beaten by Burnley the day before.
It looked bleak for Norden as they slipped to 78 for five despite a knock of 38 from Saif Bhojani.
However, Lee Crabtree scored 16 as Norden hit the three figures mark before Greg Butterworth and Steve Pimm added runs in the sun.
Butterworth scored 51 off 83 balls, and Pimm faced 45 deliveries to score an unbeaten 33.
Norden closed on 211 for eight, and that became 216 when they were awarded five penalty points during the Walsden innings.
Despite losing Matt Dawson and James Rawlinson cheaply, Walsden built well to total 219 for five with 10 deliveries to spare.
Joe Gale scored 57, Umesh 55 not out, and Hooson 47.
As on Saturday Greg Butterworth took three wickets.
