Sailing at Hollingworth Lake
Sometimes sailing is like the tortoise and the hare. On Sunday (11 August), Chris Massey could be way ahead in his RS300 fast single hander to get results of 4th, 3rd and 6th after applying the handicaps. Meanwhile, the slower Solo of Martin Brennan won all three races.
After a late first race start, Tom Daniel and Kevin Parry, in a GP14 finish with a couple of second places, narrowly ahead of Dave Smith in a Phantom scoring a second and a third place.
The munior sailors did well in the breezy conditions and longer than usual races. Jasper Bramwell scored a 4th and a 5th place, in a Topper ahead of Jacob Din, also in a Topper, with a 5th and a 6th place.
These two young sailors beat the fast Chris Massey in the last race of the day.
