Rochdale Hornets signed Scotland international Oscar Thomas from Swinton Lions
Rochdale Hornets have signed Scotland international Oscar Thomas from Swinton Lions on loan for the rest of the season.
The pacey half-back is well-travelled having spent time at London Broncos, London Skolars, Bradford Bulls and Sheffield Eagles before joining the Lions ahead of the 2019 season.
Thomas is known for his vision and strong kicking game and has a decent goal kicking record, amassing over 300 career points.
Thomas is an out-and-out Championship half back who will strengthen Matt Calland’s options and provide further challenge for places as the head coach continues to strengthen and reshuffle his squad.
Matt said: “We’re delighted to have Oscar on board. It’s no secret we have been struggling at half back.
“Oscar is a great talker and he will give us an extra dimension with the ball.”
