Rugby camps back at Hopwood Hall

Date published: 25 July 2008

Total Rugby Camps are hosting another activity packed rugby camp at Hopwood Hall campus in Middleton this summer.

The camp, which runs from 13-15 August, between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day, offers youngsters the chance to get into both codes of rugby, offering a unique opportunity to train under the instruction of some of the country’s top RFU and RFL qualified coaches.

The camps held at Easter attracted more than 100 youngsters from as far a field as Stockport and Saddleworth and the organisers are hoping even more youngsters turn out this summer.

Organiser Eric Noi said: "Our training is distinctive in that it caters for both codes of rugby, based on the core skills that make any great player.

"The programme is a shining example of how sporting ability can be nurtured and developed."

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion as well as a personal training plan matched to their ability and fitness, a branded T-shirt and a rugby ball.

Oscar Wallace took part in one of the camps held at Easter. He said: "The camp was great and it was good to mix with Rugby League players and swap ideas and tactics. We have all learned loads and had lots of fun."
