Date published: 12 December 2017
Noa Docherty won gold at the BJA University KYU grade Championships in Sheffield on Saturday and Isobel Kitchen won silver at the British Cadets Championships in Sheffield on Sunday.
Warren Schofield (seventh Dan), Rochdale Judo Club (RJC), said: “Well done to all who have helped Noa with her training, particularly Dave Hulme who has made sure Noa has arrived safely at the dojo on training nights. He has also been putting in extra time on the mat with her before the session starts.
“Brilliant performance from Isobel Kitchen winning silver at the British Cadets Championships in Sheffield.
“Isobel went the distance in the final just missing out on the gold.
“Well done Isobel from all at RJC and to all the other cadets that fought in the Championships from RJC.
"I would like to say well done to all the cadets in the North West Area that participated and won medals in this prestigious event.”
