Joel Taylor joins Rochdale AFC on loan

Stoke City’s Joel Taylor has joined Rochdale on loan.

The highly-rated left-back, who can also operate as a winger, has joined Dale until the end of the season from the Premier League side.

Taylor is a product of the Stoke's youth system. Having joined the club at under 14-level, he progressed through the youth ranks and into the first team set-up.

The 20-year-old is delighted to have joined Dale in his first move away from Stoke.

He said: “I’m very excited to be joining a club like Rochdale.

“I’ve been training with the boys for the last couple days and I’ve enjoyed it here, so I’m pleased to have joined on loan.

“I’m also very excited to be playing under Keith Hill, who is a great manager. He knows how to get the best out of his players and I think that will help me with my future development.

“I know that he puts his trust in young players, so I feel like he’ll put his trust in me and I will repay him for that.”
