Joe Thompson signs contract extension
Date published: 05 December 2016
Joe Thompson has signed an extension to his contract with Rochdale AFC.
The 27-year-old’s current deal was due to expire in January, but he has put pen to paper on an 18-month extension, which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2018.
Thompson, who returned to the club this August after a spell away, has made 17 appearances in all competitions for Keith Hill’s side this season.
He commented: “I’m over the moon. I’m delighted to have signed my contract extension and I’m looking forward to the future.
“I’m really enjoying being back at the club. I’m getting a lot of game time and the season is going well for us as a team. We’re sat in fifth in League One and we’re still in the FA Cup and the Checkatrade Trophy.”
