Handmade poppy brooches raise £325 for Royal British Legion
Date published: 16 December 2015
Helen Yates raised £325 for the Royal British Legion selling handmade poppy brooches she designs and creates.
Helen said: “I am extremely pleased with the amount of £325 which I have raised by designing, crocheting and selling my handmade poppy brooches in aid of this worthwhile cause.
“I spent over 75 hours of my spare time in the run up to Remembrance Day to make and sell the brooches and am delighted they were so well received. Even sold two to Canada.
Helen handed over the cheque to Tina Pringle, Community Fundraiser for The Royal British Legion, on Wednesday 16 December.
Tina said: “I am very grateful for the funds raised and loved my brooch design, I look forward to working with Helen more closely in the New Year with fundraising efforts.
Helen added: “The funds I raised will be added to the total raised in Rochdale so far.”
