St John with St Michael rise £800 for Joshua McCormack
Date published: 16 December 2015
The children, staff, family and friends of St John with St Michael CE Primary School in Shawforth have had a very busy two weeks fundraising for one of our reception class children, Joshua McCormack.
Joshua is suffering from a very rare brain tumour, and is currently receiving treatment.
The school have held a teddy auction, a Christmas cake bake, sponsored obstacle course with FUNDA and a raffle. One child in Joshua's class alone raised over £800, which is a sensational amount.
Farmer Terry from Animal Quackers in Bacup has also joined in with the fundraising by opening up his Winter Wonder Farm to the children, who will be visiting Prancer the reindeer and meeting Santa and some of his elves. All money collected will be going towards the Joshua McCormack fund.
Money is still coming in, but so far we have counted over £2,500.
The school would like to thank everyone who has been kind enough to help us to raise funds.
