Foam spotted in River Beal and River Roch
Date published: 15 December 2015
The Environment Agency is currently investigating why there is foam in the River Beal and the River Roch.
Residents woke up this morning (Tuesday 15 December) to find that the River Beal on Bridge Street in Milnrow was foaming, as if it had been contaminated with some sort of detergent or similar.
This afternoon, the mysterious foam had travelled along the river and was spotted in the River Roch in Rochdale Town Centre.
Environmental incidents can be reported on 0800 807060.
