Public parking spaces at Newgate sold

The public parking spaces at Newgate, near Madison’s Restaurant/Memorial Gardens, has been sold as part of the Tetrosyl development at Newgate House and is now private parking.
Work has started on the building and the surrounding area, with the back of the underground area of the building being opened up and the area near the old car park tarmacked and landscaped.
A spokesperson for Rochdale Council said: “A small area of land off Newgate was sold as part of the Tetrosyl development.”
