Date published: 15 December 2015

Debbie Ainscow's Coffee Morning for the Brain Injury Rehabilitation & Development (BIRD) charity was attended by over 70 people and raised £653.16.

BIRD is helping Debbie to get her life back together after a devastating stroke in 2012.

Debbie said: “I would like to say thank you to all who put the event together, Fr Neary, Angela Bradley, for the use of St Mary's Parish Centre, Kath and Andy O'Donnell, Steve Russell and Emma Ainscow for their hard work and the local businesses and people for their continued support and generosity.”

BIRD supports adults and children with neurological conditions which may be due to genetic reasons or complications during pregnancy and birth, and people who suffer trauma during their life from accidents, assaults and natural disorders such as strokes.
