Simon Danczuk’s office was converted into a temporary beauty salon after his next door neighbours were hit by a power cut.
The MP’s St Mary’s Gate HQ swapped politics for pampering after a substation fault left several nearby businesses without electricity.
Staff at The Retreat beauty salon feared they would have to turn customers away and would not be able to fulfill Christmas appointments, but with the power still running in Mr Danczuk’s office, the team from The Retreat were invited to set-up shop next door to keep their clients satisfied.
Salon owner Emma Fitton said: “Thank you so much to Simon Danczuk’s office and his team for his hospitality today, he has saved us at a time of need.
“Simon showed really neighbourly spirit by allowing us to use his office until the power came back on. A huge thank you.”
Mr Danczuk said: “We solve all sorts of problems in our office and we are always available to offer a helping hand to constituents. But I have to say this is the first time we’ve ever been asked to host a temporary nail bar.
“We were more than happy to assist and I’m glad we were able to help our neighbours stay on top of their appointments during this busy Christmas period.”
