Falinge Park Christmas Markets in Manchester Visit
On the 1 and 7 December around 90 year 8 pupils were chosen to go to the European Christmas Markets in Manchester for the MFL reward trip.
Layla Barrett and Khadija Zahid said: "We were chosen because of our excellent effort and attitude towards learning in our language lessons. When we were there we were able to visit stalls from many different countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Holland.
"We got to try different types of food, such as chocolates, cakes, meats, cheeses, pancakes and waffles and we bought gifts such as jewellery, clothes and glass ornaments.
"Some pupils were even able to practise their foreign language with the stallholders and a few were such good customers that they were given free gifts.
"We liked it because it was a great experience that not all children get to enjoy and it was a great reward for all our hard work."
