REAG celebrate recognition

Date published: 07 December 2015

As part of their annual social get together and as part of the celebration for being nominated for the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, members of the Rochdale Environmental Action Group (REAG) enjoyed breakfast at the Springhill at Craven, Broad Lane.

The idea was to show REAG support for the excellent service provided by Springhill Hospice to the community.

Ghulam Rasul Shahzad, Secretary of REAG said: “Members of the REAG feel that the recognition and acknowledgement of their contribution on such a high level to improve the environment in the Borough of Rochdale is a great achievement itself.

“Wre feel proud to have brought some good news for the Borough of Rochdale.

“We believe that if everyone in the Borough contributed to improve the environment, the Borough would be the most beautiful, flowery town in the country.

“We are thankful to the Rochdale Council Environment Service, councillors, media, organisations, businesses and residents for their continued support and hope.
