Date published: 04 December 2015
Armed police attended the Royal Oldham Hospital after a shooting victim was found at the hospital.
Officers found an empty vehicle with the engine running in Halliwell Lane, Cheetham Hill on Wednesday evening and inquiries sent them to a 29-year-old man at the hospital, who had suffered a single gunshot wound to his thigh.
Armed officers watched the man until he was discharged into custody. Detectives are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information.
