Ofsted say Milnrow preschool is ‘Good’

Milnrow Preschool has been given a grading of ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

Melanie Healey, Manager said: "We had our expected Ofsted inspection on 24 June and we were shocked and saddened to be graded inadequate. Our parents were so surprised. Rochdale Early Years had to stop our funding and they had to inform our existing parents of other settings where they could send their children if they wanted to.

"Fortunately we had been fund raising to improve the remainder of our outdoor play area and it was decided to use some of this money to stay open and improve the service we gave, all of our parents decided to stay with us while we improved our service.

"We were re-graded on 6 November and were overjoyed to receive a ‘good’ grading.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our parents for sticking with us, our past parents for their support and Early Years for providing free training in the areas that Ofsted deemed us poor.
